A photo of a Russian fraudster purporting to be of a gynecologist from Pristina

HIBRID

Several dubious portals with content in Albanian have published an article titled "Famous gynecologist from Pristina is causing a stir with every woman who is being treated by him, shocking images emerge."

After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the title of this article is false, which does not correspond to the content.

As a result of research conducted through online search engines, hibrid.info has found that this news is old, published in 2018 and has nothing to do with any gynecologist from Pristina, as falsely claimed in the title of the article.

Meanwhile, the author of this fake article used content based on another event, combining it with photographs, also inadequate.

In fact, the news item describing the photo corresponds to an event in Russia. It concerns a Russian man named Anton Yarin, who, at a hospital in Pervouralsk, Russia, falsely introduced himself to patients as, among other things, a gynecologist, which gave him the opportunity to practice "treatment" of attractive women.

Links to the article published on dubious portals with content in Albanian such as: "news336media.com", "gazetaz.com" and "yemegintarifi.com" can be found here. here, here and here.

From a search on social networks, hibrid.info has found that this article was also shared on Facebook through pages such as: "republika.al", "Lajme Online" and "Specialja". (see here, here and here)

From research through online search engines, hibrid.info has managed to find the article published in real time (January 25, 2018) by the British online medium "Dailymail.co.uk". (see here)

This article was also published in Kosovo at the time by the portal “Periskopi.com”. (see here)

Analyze:

Doubtful portals have published an old article from 2018, regarding a person from Russia who had deceived patients by posing as a gynecologist.

However, these portals have tried to present this article as current by giving it a false title stating that the person in question is a gynecologist from Pristina.

Based on its working methodology, hibrid.info assesses this article as "fake news".

Reasoning:

The "Fake News" rating is given to media reports that are entirely the product of a medium that itself contains factually incorrect claims or information.

Content that is considered fake news can be reliably determined to have been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
