Local media today, August 11, 2020, published an article claiming that the UEFA Ethics Committee has asked the president of the Kosovo Football Federation, Agim Ademi, to submit evidence to prove his innocence in the ongoing legal proceedings against him. Ademi was sentenced by the Court of Appeal in Pristina to 9 months in prison for threats and assault, while the case was then referred to the Supreme Court.
The first media outlet to publish this news was SuperSport.al, citing several sources. Meanwhile, the same news was also distributed by other local media outlets.

"The sentences handed down by the Court to the president of the Kosovo Football Federation, Agim Ademi, have also alarmed the biggest football house in Europe, UEFA. According to information available to SuperSport, the UEFA Ethics Committee has asked Mr. Ademi to submit evidence of his innocence, something he has failed to do, given that the trial against him is continuing with the case currently pending in the Supreme Court, while, previously, the Court of Appeal had approved his sentence of 9 months in prison for threats and assault.
Adem has had his prison sentence postponed by the Court on the grounds of his poor health. However, UEFA has now lost patience and for several days now the Ethics Committee and the highest body of European football have not recognized Agim Adem as the president of the Football Federation of Kosovo.

"No letter has come to me from UEFA. They are just words from certain media outlets," Ademi told lajmi.net.
