In 2021, during the local election campaign, the construction of the “Green Market” in the Municipality of Ferizaj was promised. This project was a commitment of Agim Aliu, the candidate of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), who at that time was running for a second consecutive term as the head of the municipality in question.
What happened to the project?
Despite the fact that Agim Aliu received the majority of votes for the first of the Ferizaj Municipality, in the first round of local elections in 2021, hibrid.info found that there has been no work on the ground to implement the "Green Market" project, as promised.

Analyze:
Agim Aliu, through a video published on October 1, 2021, had presented the project for the transformation of the "Green Market", which according to him would extend over an area of 1.5 hectares. The project envisaged the construction of four modern blocks with 385 sales stands, recreational and green spaces, restaurant and café corners, as well as 140 parking spaces with the possibility of underground expansion (see here).

Hibrid.info has researched Ali's Facebook account for content related to the "Green Market" construction project, searching with the keywords "green market", but has not come across any publication that would clarify what stage the project is in (see here).
In the same way, research was conducted through the search engine "Google" (see here). From the results of this search, only one article was found published on October 2, 2023 by the medium “ferizajpress.com”, where it was reported about holding a public consultation for the “Green Market” project in Ferizaj (see here).
The project also lacks the achievements that Aliu presented on his website (see here).
To further confirm what happened with this promise, hibrid.info checked the report "Identity Card of Municipalities" published on September 11, 2025 by the GAP Institute (see here). There, the construction of the “Green Market” is considered a project that has been started. The report’s explanation of this promise states: “During the 2021–2025 mandate, the design competition was completed. The detailed project for the construction of the Green Market in the city was completed. The municipality is in the phase of searching for donors for co-financing. The Municipal Assembly has also allocated the location, but there have been no field works."
Conclusion:
In the 2021 election campaign, the Mayor of Ferizaj, Agim Aliu, promised to build the "Green Market" in Ferizaj.
But, based on Agim Ali's official posts, online research, and the "Municipal Identity Card" report, it turns out that the project to build the market in question has not been completed.
Therefore, based on the work methodology, hibrid.info evaluates the non-completion of this project as a "promise not kept".
Reasoning:
Fulfillment or keeping of promises is mainly related to pre-election promises, which are monitored at the central and local levels during the four-year mandate. This research is mainly conducted during the pre-election campaign, where the main political figures are monitored, in order to have a fact-check of what they say. Based on the promises made earlier, through the election program, Hibrid.info checks the statements of these politicians, to see if they have managed to keep those promises after the mandate. Hibrid.info plans to publish such reports on an annual basis.
