"Alo.rs" falsely claims that KLA veterans demand money to kill Serbs

FESTIM RIZANAJ

The Serbian-language media outlet "Alo.rs" published an article yesterday (July 16) with the claim in the headline that KLA veterans are warning of protests, demanding money to kill Serbs.

The claim is based on the protest of KLA veterans, who asked President Vjosa Osmani not to decree the law on the minimum wage, which they said discriminates against former fighters, otherwise they warned of continued protests in front of Kosovo institutions.

Interpreting the request of KLA veterans as a demand for money to kill Serbs is unfounded.

Title of the article published on "Alo.rs":

"Raging terrorists in Vjosa warn of protests, demand money to kill Serbs"

The claim of the Serbian-language media outlet that the request of KLA veterans not to enact the minimum wage law represents a request for money to kill Serbs is unfounded.

The Kosovo Liberation Army War Veterans' Organization held a protest in Pristina on Saturday (July 15) against the Law on the Minimum Wage, which does not include this category. The Law on the Minimum Wage foresees its increase to 264 euros, from 130 to 170 as it is currently. If this law enters into force, which requires the signature of the country's president, veterans will continue to receive 170 euros, which is their current pension. (here)

KLA veterans have protested their dissatisfaction with not being included in the changes to the minimum wage.

Analyze:

The protest of KLA veterans was about their non-inclusion in the changes to the minimum wage, which is expected to increase to 264 euros.

So, the veterans are not asking for money to kill Serbs, as claimed by the Serbian-language media outlet "Alo.rs".

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info considers this claim to be "misinformation".
