During the campaign for the June 7 parliamentary elections in Kosovo, calls for voter turnout and support for the Serbian List were directly articulated by Serbia's highest officials and representatives of state institutions. Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, called on Serbs in Kosovo to vote for the Serbian List (Srpska Lista), positioning her as the legitimate representative of the Serbian community in Kosovo.
Along the same lines, the director of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, during a meeting with displaced persons in Niš, called on them to participate in the elections and vote for the Serbian List. He stated that "Only the victory of the Serbian List is a guarantee for the preservation of Serbian national interests in Kosovo and Metohija", presenting the party as the sole mechanism for protecting the interests of Serbs in Kosovo. At the same time, he attacked Serbian political opponent, Nenad Rašić, saying that he "stood under the banner of Albin Kurti and his policy of Greater Albania" and that he is in institutions only to help "the anti-Serbian policy of Albin Kurti and the regime in Pristina".
Petkovic also presented the election race as a choice between two political camps, stating: "On one side we have the Serbian List, which is supported by President Aleksandar Vučić and the state of Serbia, and on the other side we have Nenad Rašić, who is supported by Albin Kurti and Pristina." Furthermore, he called on displaced persons to organize themselves to travel to Kosovo and vote, arguing that their participation is "It is of fundamental importance that all Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as internally displaced persons, vote for the Serbian List".
Similar messages were also articulated by the Serbian Commissioner for Refugees and Displaced Persons, Natasa Stanisavljevic, who stated that "The Kurti regime's terror against the Serbian people is intensifying" and that for this reason Serbs should be united and vote to secure all the mandates reserved for the Serb community. Meanwhile, the mayor of Niš, Dragoslav Pavlović, argued that the vote for the Serbian List is necessary to prevent the adoption of laws that, according to him, are "in their own interest and in an anti-Serbian interest".
In this way, the election appeals were not limited to encouraging voter turnout, but were built on narratives that present the Serbian List as the sole defender of Serbian national interests, while Kosovo institutions and Serbian political opponents as a threat to the Serbian community in Kosovo.
