Serbian media outlet "telegraf.rs" published an article yesterday (October 4) in which it is alleged that footballer Andi Zeqiri stated that he speaks little Serbian.
The Serbian media outlet claimed that the Swiss national football player, originally from Kosovo, made these statements at a press conference before the Čukaricki - Genk match in the Conference League.
But after research, it was confirmed that Zeqiri stated differently than what was claimed in the Serbian media.

Andi Zeqiri's statement published on "telegraf.rs", translated into Albanian:
"My family lives very close to Serbia (we would say in Serbia), and I even speak a little Serbian. As for the match, they won't be coming to it."
The same claim was also published by another Serbian media outlet, “blic.rs.” (see here)

But after verification by "hibrid.info", it has been proven that Zeqiri's alleged statement is unfounded.

In the article published by the Belgian club, it is understood that the Swiss footballer stated that his father speaks Serbian, and not he himself, as claimed in the aforementioned media publications.

"As a player it's certainly a dream to play in Europe, but now it's certainly special. My parents don't live that far from here, my father also speaks Serbian," the striker said in French.
