An image has been published claiming to represent a survey regarding popular support for political entities in Kosovo, ahead of the February 9 parliamentary elections.

content It was posted on TikTok on January 2, by an account named "newsroomkosovo".

In the image, political parties are presented starting from the party with the greatest support, in order: Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), Self-Determination Movement (LVV), Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Coalition for the Family and other parties.

The truth?

After research conducted by hibrid.info, it was found that such a survey has not been published by credible sources.

Hibrid.info has researched using the Google search engine, but the results have not shown any recent polls that match the ranking of political parties presented in this alleged poll (see here).

About surveys

The latest poll (December 17) that was circulated in the media was from the company "UBO Consulting", which explained that the survey on political parties was conducted by the OMNIBUS service.

The data from this survey present different percentages and rankings for political entities in Kosovo, compared to those presented by the aforementioned TikTok accounts. (see photo below).

Analyze:

The survey presented via an image on TikTok is not credible.

The name of the organization that conducted the survey as such is missing, and the ranking of political entities is presented differently from that presented by credible, competent organizations.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Fake News".

Reasoning:

The “Fake News” rating is given to informational content that is entirely fabricated or that contains factually incorrect claims or information. Content that is rated as fake news can be defined as having been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
