A has been published. videos on TikTok, in which the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, is seen during his party's rally in Suhareka, while chants of "KLA" and "Hashim Thaçi" are heard.

The claim was published on January 29 by the account “partiademokratike_131.”During Kurti's speech, "Here the VETEVENDOSJE MOVEMENT fails," a majority of supporters who were at the rally chanted; UQK, HASHIM THAQI", is the caption placed on the video.

The truth?

After fact-checking by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that there was interference in the original video material, over which audio with the chants "KLA" and "Hashim Thaçi" was superimposed, with the claim that they were chants of sympathizers in Suhareka, at the VV rally during the campaign for the February 9 parliamentary elections.

Hibrid.info has found the original material, published on Albin Kurti's Facebook page on January 28. (see here 23:30 – 24:15) In the original material, it is noted that only Kurti's voice is heard, while in the TikTok publication, the alleged calls have been added.

A little context:

On the evening of January 27, several citizens protested in front of the premises where the Vetëvendosje Movement and its leader Albin Kurti were scheduled to hold a rally in Skenderaj. One of the chants was “Thaci, Thaci,” referring to the former president and former leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, who has traditionally led this municipality. According to footage published online, the police intervened in the protesters’ action. (see here)

Analyze:

In a video published on TikTok, it is alleged that during the speech of the leader of the Vetëvendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, at the election rally in Suhareka, there were calls of "KLA" and "Hashim Thaçi" during his speech.

However, after fact-checking by hibrid.info, it turns out that the video is manipulated. In the original video, there were no such cheers from the supporters at the rally.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Fraud".

Reasoning:

The “Deception” rating is given to informational content that is manipulated in terms of visual (deepfake, cheapfake), audio, or textual content to deceive the audience. This form of deception is usually used to produce false and manipulated content.
