"Serbia knows that if it stages a threat against Kurti, it strengthens him in the elections. So it does it on purpose. The same thing Russia did in Hungary: it placed an explosive in a gas pipeline to strengthen Orban.”. This is what German journalist Peter Tiede allegedly said, according to a post published on Sunday (May 10), from the account named “Exile with the LDK".
The post was accompanied by the text "The transparent lies he tells. They are no longer eating his lies like they used to.".

The truth?
After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that the alleged statement of the German journalist from "Bild" is fabricated.
Initially, hibrid.info checked the journalist's existing social networks and noticed that he usually shares content on his account on the "X" platform (see here). Of his recent posts, none have been found where he has expressed positions regarding the issues raised in the claim in question.
Furthermore, hibrid.info searched Google with the keywords "Peter Tiede Albin Kurti.", "Peter Tiede Serbia knows that if he stages a threat against Kurti, he strengthens him in the elections" and with the keywords in German "Peter Tiede Serbien Kurti Russland Ungarn" but that no publication regarding this statement has been found in any credible source (see here, here and here).
Home who published the post has nearly 8 thousand followers and publishes content in support of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).
By the time of treatment, the content had prompted reactions, receiving over 100 likes.
This is not the first time that hibrid.info has addressed content published by this site that turned out to be false. In fact, during the first two weeks of this month alone (May 1-10, 2026), a piece of disinformation has been addressed (see here) and two fake news (see here and here).
