Fraudulent SMS sent on WhatsApp again claiming to come from Facebook

The message, which allegedly comes from the Facebook/META platform, begins with a notification about the account closure, and which was sent to citizens from Kosovo.

Through this message, written in Albanian, and sent on the communication application "WhatsApp", it is claimed that the user has violated Facebook's community standards, and is urged to click on a link. Otherwise, it is said that within 12 hours, the user's account on this social media will be deactivated.

Hibrid.info first researched the prefix of the number that sent the message, with the resulting searches showing that the prefix + 84, belongs to Vietnam.

Hibrid.info has also checked the link contained in the message, after clicking which, a message appears stating that this page cannot be found.

To further verify the credibility of this site, hibrid.info has used the website verification platform "Scamdoc.com", with results showing that the credibility of this domain it is low.

Facebook has released notifications to users about these fake messages, clarifying that they should not be trusted.
