Hibrid.info has noticed that the conclusion presented in the headline is based on a single source.
The same article was also published in another online medium “Demokracia.com” (see here).
From the beginning of the article it is indicated that the construction of the Prizren-Tetovo road is unlikely to be realized in the next four years, according to Nazim Taipi, vice-president of the Alliance for Albanians (ASh), a political entity that left the VLEN coalition, also abandoning the government of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski in North Macedonia (see here).
Taipi made the statement in an interview on the Daily Click show on TV 21, the link to which was included in the text by the medium (see here).
The article mentions a statement by Macedonian Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, who stated that he expects this project to be realized in no less than 4 to 5 years (see here).
However, in a video found on Youtube published (January 2025) on the channel of the media "Tv Prizreni", it is shown that the construction of the road has not yet started on the Macedonian side (see here).
While in the statements included in the text by the leaders of the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV), apart from the details of the project, it is not noticeable that they have mentioned a specific deadline for its implementation (see here and here).
Hibrid.info's research has found that work on this road by the Kosovo Government has started since August of last year (see here).
Hibrid.info has researched and also found that the construction of the Prizren-Tetovo road was foreseen in the electoral program (2025-2029) of the LVV, through which this entity competed in the parliamentary elections of February 9 (see here).
However, after the last parliamentary elections in Kosovo, the Assembly has not yet been constituted and the government has not been voted in. Despite LVV emerging as the first party in the elections, its participation in the government has not yet been confirmed, which means that the continuation and completion of this project may not depend on this political party.
All these findings show that it is unknown whether the Prizren-Tetovo road will be completed within the next four years, but it is too early to conclude that LVV has misled regarding its completion.
