It is falsely claimed that Great Britain is helping Kosovo with weapons.

HIBRID

The Facebook page "Lexo Sot" yesterday (August 8) published an old article from July published by the dubious portal with Albanian-language content "news308media.com", which bears the title "Great help came from Britain for Kosovo / Serbs in a big panic, because they sent these types...".

The content includes news from April, published by Serbian media with the claim that Great Britain has provided weapons to the Kosovo Army.

This false claim is still being published and distributed in Albanian language articles, through social media.

The news published at the time by the Serbian media outlet "Novosti.rs" claimed without facts that "official London has handed over to the authorities in Pristina "Jewelin" and "NLAW" missiles, which are being used by Ukrainian forces in the fight against Russian troops."

The article published on April 16 in the Serbian media "Novosti.rs" stating that Great Britain has distributed weapons to the Kosovo Army can be found here. here.

However, on April 19, this was denied by the British Embassy in Serbia, after Serbian media insisted on addressing this claim (see here).

"Completely fabricated accusations of sending weapons from Great Britain to Kosovo appeared in some Belgrade media. There is not a shred of truth in these accusations," it is stated in the announcement of the Embassy.

Serbian media have made these claims, finding justification in the publication of KFOR (April 15) posted on their official Facebook page, regarding the landing of a British military transport plane at Pristina Airport (see here)

However, KFOR has announced that this transport plane has come to bring support to the British KFOR contingent and not to provide armed support to the Kosovo Army, as claimed by Serbian media.

This is not the first time that this article has been published by dubious portals with content in Albanian, as one such was also distributed on April 20 by another dubious portal “albasky.com”, which was also verified by hibrid.info. (see here)

The April claim by Serbian media that Great Britain is arming the Kosovo Army continues to spread on Facebook.

Hibrid.info has found such an article published by the website "Lexo Sot" with the title "Great help came from Britain for Kosovo / Serbs in a big panic, because they sent these types of...", based on an article published a few days ago by the Serbian medium "Novosti.rs".

However, these claims by Serbian media have been denied by the British Embassy in Belgrade, which has called them fabrications.
