It is falsely claimed that Turkey has donated 10 Apache combat helicopters to the KSF.

FATBARDH DEMA

The Facebook page "The Reis" published a post on October 11 with the caption "Turkey donates 10 Apache combat helicopters to the Kosovo Security Force. These will be under NATO supervision, with the Turkish presidency taking the lead."

After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info through online search engines, no information published in credible media was found claiming that Turkey has donated 10 "Apache" combat helicopters to the Kosovo Security Forces (KSF).

Hibrid.info, through the automated program InVID, has managed to find that the combat helicopter featured in the post on the “The Reis” page is called “AH-64E Apache Guardian. (see here)

After researching this type of combat helicopter, it was found that it is manufactured by the American company "Boeing".

Information found on the company's website, "Boeing.com," shows which countries use this type of combat helicopter, and Turkey is not among them. (see here)

Boeing delivered the first AH-64A Apache to the U.S. Army in January 1984. Since then, the U.S. Army and other nations have received more than 2700 AH-64 Apache attack helicopters. Boeing's global customers for the Apache include Egypt, Greece, India, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Korea, Kuwait, the Netherlands, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

Analyze:

The Facebook page "The Reis" has published a post with the false claim that Turkey will donate 10 "Apache" combat helicopters to the Kosovo Security Force.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this claim as "Fake News".

Reasoning:

The "Fake News" rating is given to media reports that are entirely the product of a medium that itself contains factually incorrect claims or information.

Content that is considered fake news can be reliably determined to have been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
