It is falsely claimed that Turkey will donate MMU TFX aircraft to Kosovo

FESTIM RIZANAJ

The Facebook page named "The Reis" published content on October 4th claiming that "Erdogan has just announced talks in the Turkish Parliament to donate these MMU TFX aircraft to Kosovo."

However, after verifying the facts based on research conducted through online search engines, hibrid.info has found that such a claim does not exist.

Although the above claim states that Erdogan disclosed talks in parliament about providing Kosovo with MMU TFX aircraft, in Erdogan's last speech (October 1), at the opening of the Turkish parliament, nothing was said regarding the above claim. (here, here)

Furthermore, according to the Turkish Ministry of Defense, the MMU (Milli Muharip Uçak) series aircraft project was signed in 2017 and it has been announced that the first flight of these aircraft will be carried out in 2025. (here)

It has recently been announced that despite the fact that it was announced that the series flight of these aircraft would be carried out in 2025, this is expected to happen at the end of 2023. (here)

Analyze:

The facts show that Erdogan has not disclosed in parliament any talks about giving Kosovo MMU TFX series aircraft.

Also, this series of aircraft is expected to make its first flight at the end of 2023, although it is planned for this to happen in 2025.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info considers this claim to be "fake news".

Rating:

The "Fake News" rating is given to media reports that are entirely the product of a medium that itself contains factually incorrect claims or information.

Content that is considered fake news can be reliably determined to have been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
