Through one published video Yesterday (November 29) it is claimed that many places in Kosovo have been left without electricity due to the explosion that occurred yesterday in Zubin Potok, in the north of the country, which damaged the Ibër-Lepenc water canal.
The video with this claim was published on Facebook by the page "Life in Podujevo".
What's wrong with this claim?
After research conducted by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that there is no information that due to this explosion, several places in Kosovo have faced a lack of electricity.
Also, there is no evidence that the video published yesterday (November 29) was made after the explosion that occurred in the Ibër-Lepenc water canal.
The Kosovo Electricity System, Transmission and Market Operator (KOSTT) announced last night that the recently reported incident in the irrigation canals in Ibër Lepenc in Zubin Potok has no connection to the power outages related to the Prishtina 1 Substation, caused by the localized incident. The Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli, said in a Facebook post that "Ibër Lepenci, at around 02:00 after midnight, in record time, has installed six temporary pipes with sufficient capacity to provide water for cooling the 'Kosova B' thermal power plant. The CEO of the "Ibër-lepenc" enterprise, Faruk Mujka, announced through his official Facebook account that in a record time, 6 900 mm pipes were placed in the damaged canal, which enabled the unhindered supply of water to KEK from the Ibër Lepenc canal. (see here)
