Koci did not say "I'm going to Belgrade next week"

FATBARDH DEMA

The information portal "GazetaBlic.com" has published today (June 15) an article in the title of which it is claimed that lawyer Arianit Koci said that  "If the kidnapped police officers are not released, I will go to Belgrade next week and coordinate their protection - for free."

However, after fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it was determined that the title does not correspond to the content.

The content includes Koci's status, which he published on his official Facebook account, in which he expressed his willingness to go to Belgrade next week, with the authorization of the Government of Kosovo, and in his capacity as a lawyer, coordinate their defense.

So, Koci did not say that "next week I will go to Belgrade", but he expressed his willingness to take such action.

Hibrid.info found Koci's post on his Facebook account (here), who expressed his willingness to go to Belgrade and, in his capacity as a lawyer, coordinate the defense of three Kosovo police officers, who were allegedly kidnapped yesterday (June 14) in Kosovo territory by Serbian police.

Koci's full Facebook status:

In the event that the kidnapped police officers are not released through political pressure, I am ready to go to Belgrade immediately next week – with the authorization of the Kosovo government – and in my capacity as a lawyer, coordinate their defense.

We cannot leave our police officers solely at the mercy of the international community.

On the other hand, someone should visit them in the detention center, wherever they are.

I will do my job for free!
