The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has published several photos on his official Instagram profile with the caption that after 16 years he met with the captain of the special unit in Brnjak.
However, Kurti has confused the Commander of the Kosovo Police Special Unit, Besart Ahmeti, with his colleague, Fatlum Shaqiri, shown in the photograph when the latter had arrested him 16 years ago during a Vetëvendosje Movement protest.
Kurti also included in this post a photo taken 16 years ago, showing Fatlum Shaqiri arresting him. However, the prime minister has incorrectly claimed that the person in the photo is Besart Ahmeti.

"In my office at the Prime Minister's Office, today I received the Minister of Interior and senior leaders of the Kosovo Police. Among them was Besart Ahmeti, whom I met closely after 16 years. Captain Ahmeti has professionally led the police of the special unit in Brnjak and has conducted excellent negotiations on the ground there. We did not shake hands, due to the pandemic."

The first and third photos show Kurti with Ahmeti during the meeting they had on Sunday with the senior management staff of the Kosovo Police.
Meanwhile, in the second photo, which is claimed to be Besart Ahmeti, it is actually his colleague Fatlum Shaqiri, who 16 years ago had arrested Kurti at a Vetëvendosje Movement protest.
