Hibrid.info found that a statement by Peci about the possibility of creating a parliamentary group from the GUXO party has been manipulated in this content.
As of the time of this post, it has received over 460 likes and over 380 comments, from the content of which it can be assessed that the audience is likely to perceive the claim being addressed as true.
Hibrid.info has researched using the search engine "Google", with the words "Faton Peci parliamentary group”, checking for the contents of the last seven days (see here). From the search results, a video material was found, published on Wednesday (January 7) on the Facebook page of the medium "KlanKosova", with the title: "Will GUXO create a separate parliamentary group, separate from VV? – BEFASON Faton Peci: It is possible later… (see here)”
The video is excerpted from an interview with Peci on the show "DPT Fidani", which is broadcast on "Klan Kosova" television.
This content includes Peci's response to the question about the possible creation of a parliamentary group for GUXO, a political entity that competed on the coalition list together with the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) and other parties.
Pec's transcribed response to Guxo's question about the formation of the parliamentary group:
"Ours is to see now how it works. We must first reduce the number of MPs, to see how the Assembly functions. If we assess that having two parliamentary groups contributes to the government, we may even have a new parliamentary group. But, everything must go on the basis of an analysis, conversation, discussion, meaning also with partners, because it is not correct to say 'we joined your list (VV List) now we have become MPs, we are forming a parliamentary group'. We must assess whether it is more functionally useful in presenting our views, ideas, or beliefs, what we believe, the establishment of the group."
So, based on this video material, it is confirmed that Peci has not ruled out the possibility of creating a parliamentary group from the GUXO party, but has not stated that this could happen if Vjosa Osmani is not voted for president by LVV.
Regarding the election of the president, hibrid.info has found an article that shows that Peci has declared on this show about this issue. Faton Peci has said that if the Kosovo Assembly does not elect the president by March 4, the country will automatically go to extraordinary elections, emphasizing that this is not a threat, but a constitutional and legal finding. The GUXO party, in the coalition called "Vetëvendosje!" Movement for the early parliamentary elections of December 28, had 12 candidates for deputies (see here).
