Last night (February 25) after midnight, Kosovo Police intervened in a case where six young Serbs in North Mitrovica, in a drunken state, were fighting among themselves.
The six have been arrested, allegedly for being arrested without reason.
A person said to have been involved in this case has given a statement which has been published by the Serbian activist and politician from northern Kosovo. Aleksandar Arsenijevic, on his Facebook profile, who claims that their arrest was made without any reason.
This event was also reported on the Telegram social network, on the Serbian-language channel "BUNKER", which states: "Albanian terrorists last night in KeM arrested six young Serbs for no reason, using force."

What happened last night?
Serbian activist and politician from northern Kosovo, Aleksandar Arsenijevic, has published several images that he claims are from the moment of the arrest of six young Serbs in the north, last night after midnight in the north.
In addition to these images, he also spoke with a person who he says was part of this event.
Hibrid.info has heard the story of this young man, who claims that six to seven people were arrested after the same people, according to him, started arguing, at which point he says the police intervened, who, he says, intervened by using force unnecessarily.
"Our people were arrested tonight for absolutely no reason. It is true that under the influence of alcohol, there was a slight argument between us, but nothing that could not be resolved. Of course, the Kosovo Police used force in response, perhaps there was no need to react, and arrested six or seven of our members. The guys absolutely did not show any aggression, only the disagreement that was between us. We did not endanger anyone, nor the safety or tranquility here on the street, they simply took advantage of this opportunity to make us some kind of hooligans, or how should I say, troublemakers, in order to arrest us, they used violence that was not necessary at all," says this young Serbian.
He is asked by Arsenijevic whether tear gas was also used during the intervention.
"Yes, of course, for no reason. They knocked three or four guys to the ground, and we didn't show any resistance to the arrest. We don't even know what they were arrested for," declared this young Serbian man, who did not introduce himself by name and who claims to have been part of the event.
Likewise, on the social network Telegram (here – “BUNKER”), images have been published that claim to show the arrest of young Serbs, with the baseless claim that their arrest was made without reason.
Hibrid.info has researched this case, and has also found the official statement from the Kosovo Police regarding this case.
According to the official police report, the arrest of six young Serbs came after they intervened as a result of, as it is said, suspicions of a fight, and were attacked by young Serbs, in which case three of the police officers received medical treatment.
In the KP report Details were also provided from the samples taken from the Serbian youth for the alcohol test, which showed that they were under the influence of alcohol.
"On 25.02.2025, the police arrested six (6) suspects for the criminal offense of 'Assault on an official person'. Alcohol test of the suspects: 1. NN – 24 years old 1.59 ‰, 2. NN – 26 years old 1.62 ‰, 3. AB – 28 years old 1.50 ‰, 4. AB – 30 years old 1.57 ‰, 5. IR – 24 years old 1.21 ‰, 6. BD – 19 years old 1.84 ‰".
"The arrest of the suspects was made on reasonable suspicion of involvement in a fight between them that occurred on 25.02.2025 on 'Kral Petri' street in North Mitrovica, respectively in front of the 'Tre sheshira' cafe."
"After the patrol unit intervened to stop the beating, the suspects initially insulted and then attacked the police officers, resulting in three (3) police officers suffering bodily injuries who received medical treatment."
"Showing professionalism in carrying out their duties, the police have taken all necessary actions, where the suspects, after being arrested, were brought to the police station where they were breathalyzed and tested positive for alcohol, as above. All suspects have also received medical treatment."
"All actions taken have been reported to the prosecutor of the case, where six (6) suspects were ordered to be detained for 48 hours by the prosecutor's decision," it was said in the Police report.
Analyze:
Six young Serbs were arrested in the early hours of Tuesday (February 25) in North Mitrovica. Their arrest was covered by northern Serb activist and politician Aleksandar Aresnijevic, who has also published several images that he claims are from the action, as well as a conversation with a young Serb who claims to have been part of the event.
This young Serb claims that their arrest was unnecessary and without reason, as he says there was only a minor disagreement between them, which he says did not require police intervention.
Also, the Serbian-language channel on Telegram, "Bunker", has published a video that it claims is from the arrest of young Serbs, claiming that they were arrested without any reason.
However, the Kosovo Police, in an official statement, said that their arrest came after they, in a drunken state, attacked three police officers who intervened in the case. The police officers are said to have sought medical treatment, while they are suspected of the crime ""Attack on official person".
