An image has been published showing Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a table with ten other people. The photo appears to be from many years ago.

content published on Facebook on Wednesday (March 11) by the TV Arbëria medium, has the caption "Albin Kurti's meetings with the daughter of Milosevic's former Serbian minister, Zoran Soklović, are revealed".

A link is also attached to the post in the comments section. The link published on the website “arberia.tv” contains an article that has the caption of this Facebook post as its title (see here).

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info found that the claim presented by this photo is unconfirmed.

As of the time of writing, the content has received over 370 likes and over 270 comments. Based on what can be seen in the image and within the attached article, it is noted that the reported information is based on a Facebook post by an account named "Ylber Lipa".

Hibrid.info checked the Facebook profile in question, but was unable to find the post in question. It cannot be confirmed whether it has since been deleted or whether the content was published on a profile or space with restricted access (see here).

The article mentions that the photograph shows the moment of Albin Kurti's meeting with Lidija Sokolović, the daughter of Zoran Sokolović, the late former Minister of Internal Affairs in Serbia.

Although it is not specified which of the people in the image is Lidija Sokolović, the article refers to the claim in the caption of the post by the "Ylber Lipa" account.

The article even mentions claims of a “more intimate connection” between Kurti and Sokolović, referring to statements by former Belgrade police chief Marko Nicović (see here).

The claim about Kurti's relationship with the daughter of the former Serbian minister was also made by Bekim Haxhiu, but it was never confirmed (see here).

Hibrid.info has researched using the search engine "Google", with the words "lidija sokolovic", but has not found any image of the person in question to confirm whether she is in this photograph (see here).

After the publication of this image with the above claim, several people appearing in the photograph have reacted, denying these claims and offering personal explanations regarding the real circumstances in which the photograph was taken.

Hibrid.info has found two posts by two characters (Naim Korça and Vjosa Shala) who are said to be in this image. In these two posts, the claims in question have been denied and it has been clarified that this is an image of a group of Albanian students who had traveled to Denmark (see here).

Through “InVID”, the automated search program, a post dated January 10, 2026, from the account named “Besnik Lajqi” was found. In this post, which contains the same photo, the same explanation is given about the context in which this photo was taken, and the publisher claims that he is the author of this image (see here).

Analyze:

An old photo has been published on Facebook by a media outlet showing Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti at a table with ten other people. The post claims that the photo shows Kurti meeting the daughter of Zoran Sokolović, former Minister of Internal Affairs in Serbia during the regime of Slobodan Milošević.

After fact-checking, hibrid.info found no evidence to support this claim. The article is based on a Facebook post by an account named "Ylber Lipa", which post was not found during verification.

Also, people claiming to be in this photograph have reacted by denying the claims and clarifying that the image depicts a group of Albanian students during a trip to Denmark.

Based on these findings, hibrid.info assesses this claim as "Unverified Content" and "Disinformation".

Reasoning:

The "Unverified" rating is given to those informative contents that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which could not be verified due to certain circumstances (speed, lack of sources) during the publication of the content.

"Disinformation" is defined as information content that contains a "mix" of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful attributes, and that is created and/or distributed with the deliberate intention of causing harm. The motive behind the producers/distributors of disinformation content lies in achieving a political, financial, psychological or social goal.
