The media outlet "Zëri.info" has posted photographs on their Facebook page, claiming that the photograph shows an aid caravan from Lebanon to Syria.

The image in the photo shows a convoy of vehicles on the road in a snow-covered area.

After researching hibrid.info through digital search engines, it was found that this photograph depicts heavy traffic on "Dahr Al Baydar" road in Lebanon, after the end of working hours due to frost and snow.

This photo with this claim has also been shared by several other Facebook pages, such as Alfa Newspaper, Correct Press, Browse.info, Kosovo News, Lipjani.net.

Hibrid.info has not been able to find the original publisher of this claim, from where Zëri.info and other publishers may have been based. However, it has been confirmed that the image in this photograph does not depict a Lebanese aid convoy heading to earthquake-affected areas in Syria.

During a search of the photo shared through digital search engines, it was found that the image used in the claim was shared on the social media account of Lebanese photographer Maher Barake on February 10, 2023. (here)

The post reads, "Traffic in Dahr Al Baydar. I'm tired of walking in a convoy on Baydar Road because of the snow and ice."

Photographer Maher Barake made a statement on the subject after photos were shared on social media with the description of an “aid convoy from Lebanon to Syria.” (here)

The authenticity of this photo was initially verified by the Arabic-language Middle Eastern fact-checker Kashef. In their treatment, they make it clear that this photo depicts a convoy of vehicles in Lebanon.

The author of the photo, by sharing this treatment of “Kashef”, has also clarified the event that is depicted through the photo he took. Maher Barake announced that this photographic image depicts traffic after work hours as a result of snow in the Dahr Al Baydar area and not a convoy of aid from Lebanon to the areas affected by the earthquake in Syria.
