A video material with the caption "What's happening? Apocalyptic footage from Dubai is being published", was published on April 18 by the information portal "kosova-sot.info".
This video purports to present the situation in Dubai, following the storm and rain that began there on April 15th.
After verifying the facts, hibrid.info has found that some of the footage in the video is not current and does not depict the storms in Dubai.

In the released video, several images appear with the accelerated speed of the supposed rains that started in Dubai on April 15 with alarming sounds in the background.
After re-searching some of the video sequences, it was found that some of these images have been circulating on the internet for a long time and are not related to the recent storm and flooding in Dubai.
The first video sequence shown in the video is not current, as the TikTok account "disaster9578" shared the same one on November 2023.
The second video sequence appears at 00:38 of the released video footage, where a tornado is seen behind several buildings.
This video sequence is also not current and has no connection to the recent storm in Dubai. The images have been circulating since at least October 2023 and have even been used to claim that this tornado had occurred in Madrid in December 2023.
The third video sequence shows a bolt of lightning striking the Burj Khalifa. After a re-search online, it was found to have been shared online by at least March 5, 2024. according to The national news of the United Arab Emirates, the building in question acts as a lightning rod, so it is common to see this phenomenon during storms.
The fourth video sequence shows a tree trunk being pulled out from its roots along a road. After re-searching the sequence, it was found that the material had been published in April 2023 and the event took place in Bicas, Praça São José, Brazil.
The fifth video sequence shows a tornado tearing off the roof of a building a few meters in front of a vehicle. After researching this video sequence, it was found that it does not depict the storm in Dubai, but was made in June 2022, in West Virginia, USA.
The sixth video sequence shows tree trunks swaying in front of a yellow building. However, after further investigation, it was found that this video sequence was taken from a longer video titled “Giant Monster Attacks City,” uploaded to YouTube in July 2019. The original content is unrelated to the recent floods in Dubai.
