An image is circulating on social media such as Facebook and TikTok in which the portrait of the Committee Coordinator of the Vetëvendosje Movement appears in graffiti form, Dejona Mihali.
In this "graffiti", alongside her portrait, the words "... "Go back where you came from. Kosovo doesn't want Greeks coming to divide us."
This image was originally found posted on Facebook by the page "Our black people" with the claim that the image represents graffiti that stings Mihal. The same content was then published on another Facebook page "Universal”, as well as on TikTok from the account “blerim.gashi61".
The truth?
After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that the graffiti appearing in the image does not exist.
Hibrid.info researched this image through the automated program “InVID”, and found the real photo that shows the murals on “Rruga B” in Prishtina. The real photo does not show any graffiti.
The image was found published on the website "spottedbylocals.com".
So, a photograph was taken showing the murals on "Rruga B" in Pristina, and then Mihal's portrait was added to it, falsely presenting it as graffiti in Pristina. (see photo comparison below)
