This is not Kurti's official resignation letter.

A photograph has been published, allegedly showing Albin Kurti's resignation letter from the position of acting Prime Minister, which he sent to Avni Dehari, the deputy chairing the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly.

it CONTENT was published today (April 19) by the online medium, "gazetademos.com".

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info found that this is not a resignation letter from Prime Minister Kurti, but an illustrative model distributed by the Kosovo Law Institute (IKD), which shows what a formal resignation of a serving minister or serving prime minister of the Government of Kosovo could look like.

The claim was also published on Facebook, on this medium's website and on the RTV 21 website (see here and here).

Hibrid.info has found an article published today in the medium, "klankosova.tv", which confirms that the Kosovo Institute for Law (IKD), a non-governmental organization, has distributed today to the Kosovo Assembly a model of what a formal resignation of a serving minister or serving prime minister of the Government of Kosovo could look like (see here).

The letter is without Albin Kurti's signature, without the official seal of the institutions, and without state symbols, such as the coat of arms or institutional logo.

This model was taken from the medium, "gazetademos.com" and was published as Prime Minister Kurti's official resignation letter.

Hibrid.info found that so far the only official resignation letter from Kurti is the one dated April 15, which he sent to Glauk Konjufca, the speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, from the previous legislature. (see here).

Analyze:

The claim that Prime Minister Albin Kurti sent his resignation letter to the chairman of the constitutive session of the Kosovo Assembly today (April 19) is incorrect.

Hibrid.info found that the photograph through which the claim was presented is a model distributed by IKL of what a formal resignation by Kurti and other government members could look like.

Based on hibrid.info's assessment methodology, this claim is assessed as, "Unverified Content".

Reasoning:

The "Unverified" rating is given to those informative contents that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which could not be verified due to certain circumstances (speed, lack of sources) during the publication of the content.
