A video has been released showing several people physically attacking another person in a public space in Brooklyn, New York.
video claiming that the people who carried out the attack are of Albanian ethnicity, was published today (November 13) on the "X" platform (formerly Twitter), by an account named "VukFeNix".
The truth of the claim
Hibrid.info has assessed that this content does not contain evidence or testimony that proves that the people shown in the video are Albanians.

After researching using the automated search program, "InVID", hibrid.info found it published by several accounts on social networks with various claims.
The video was found and published on two occasions (November 9 and 12), with the claim that the attacker belongs to the Jewish community and is being attacked by Hamas supporters and anti-Semites (see here and here).
However, the earliest publications found of this video are dated November 8, in the descriptions of which concern is expressed about what happened in Brooklyn - New York, without specifying the ethnic identity of the protagonists of the images shown (see here and here).
Based on all descriptions, it is understood that the event took place in Brooklyn - New York, but based on what is seen, it is difficult to determine the national identity of the people appearing in the video.
Analyze:
The claim that the people seen in a video attacking another person in Brooklyn, New York, belong to the Albanian community is unfounded.
Hibrid.info has found that there are no facts that prove the claim addressed.
Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Manipulation of facts" and "Disinformation".
Reasoning:
“Factual manipulation” is a rating given to informational content that uses facts known to be accurate but interprets them in a distorted manner. These reports typically use accurate information to draw incorrect conclusions or claims, thereby misleading consumers of media content about the actual meaning of the facts presented.
"Disinformation" is defined as information content that contains a "mix" of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful attributes, and that is created and/or distributed with the deliberate intention of causing harm. The motive behind the producers/distributors of disinformation content lies in achieving a political, financial, psychological or social goal.
