Hibrid.info's policy for corrections, complaints, additions and denials
Hibrid.info is committed to accuracy, editorial transparency, and prompt correction of any information that may be inaccurate, incomplete, or requires additional clarification after publication.
We invite all media, institutions, organizations, public figures and other entities that are the subject of our analyses, verifications or assessments to submit clarifications, additional facts, complaints or requests for correction if they consider that the published content does not match the existing facts or requires further supplementation.
Each request is handled by the Hibrid.info editorial team on the basis of verifiable documents, evidence, and sources, in accordance with professional fact-checking standards and editorial ethics.
How requests and complaints are handled
Upon receipt of the request or complaint, the editorial staff reviews the information submitted and performs the necessary editorial verifications.
If, after review, it is determined that the publication contains inaccuracies, lack of information, or wording that requires clarification, Hibrid.info undertakes the appropriate correction.
The review process is handled within two business days, unless additional verification, consultation with other sources, or more extensive editorial review is required.
Correction and publication form
Errors or additions are reflected in one of the following forms:
- the correction is made directly in the original analysis;
- an explanation or additional information is added to the text;
- a clear note is placed at the end of the article indicating what has been changed;
- the note contains the date of correction or addition.
In cases where a request for a denial is submitted, it is handled in accordance with verified facts and Hibrid.info's editorial standards.
Full transparency of the procedure
To guarantee transparency and public accountability, Hibrid.info makes public the entire procedure for handling cases related to complaints, corrections or denials.
This includes:
- the complaint or response received;
- official communication conducted with the complaining party;
- Hibrid.info's editorial response;
- accompanying documents when they are part of the procedure;
- the final editorial decision and eventual correction.
This way, every reader has the opportunity to see the entire process of handling the case, not just the final outcome.
Public history of corrections and complaints
Hibrid.info keeps public the history of all corrections, additions, denials and complaint cases handled.
Each case remains documented in this column or in the relevant article, along with the publication date and a description of the changes made.
This history is preserved as part of the policy of editorial transparency and public accountability.
How can a request be sent?
Requests for correction, addition, response or denial can be sent through our official contact channels: info@hibrid.info, or through the contact form on our official website.
Hibrid.info encourages that any request be handled initially through direct communication with the editorial team.
External complaint mechanisms
If the requesting party is not satisfied with the handling of the request by Hibrid.info, it can also use international complaint mechanisms within the framework of professional networks of which Hibrid.info is a member and signatory.
IFCN – International Fact-Checking Network
As a signatory to the International Fact-Checking Network's Code of Principles, Hibrid.info respects international standards of transparency, impartiality, and correction.
IFCN does not review individual editorial cases, but accepts notifications in cases where there is suspicion that a signatory organization may be in violation of the Code of Principles.
EFCSN – European Fact-Checking Standards Network
In accordance with the European Code of Standards of the European Fact-Checking Standards Network, any individual or organization that considers that an EFCSN member has seriously failed to comply with professional standards may file a complaint with the EFCSN, after having first followed the internal procedure with the organization.
