"What is America's demand in essence? Don't work on state formation, don't dismantle illegal structures. This demand is absurd, which is why citizens will only support Kurti even more. Every time he is hit when he acts against Serbia, he only grows."

This is what German Chancellor Friederich Merz is alleged to have declared in a CONTENT published on Saturday (September 13) on Facebook by the page called "Specbuk", known for publishing satirical content (see here).

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info has found that such a statement did not come from the German Chancellor.

As of the time of writing, this publication has received over 2 likes, over 320 shares, and nearly 160 comments on its content, indicating that readers may take the content as true.

Hibrid.info has researched Facebook to verify whether such a claim has been shared by other publishers and has found that this statement was written in a status published by the opinion columnist Rron Gjinovci (see here).

Which means that the authentic statement published on Friday (September 12) was made by Gjinovci.

Rron Gjinovci's status:

"What is America's demand in essence? - Do not work on state formation, do not dismantle illegal structures. - This demand is absurd, which is why the citizens will only support Kurti even more. Every time he is hit when he acts against Serbia, he only grows. You have proof of what I am saying in the case of Grenell. You put them all together in the government and left Albin out, in the name of strategic interests, and what happened? 50.2% happened. The same thing will happen this time too."

Gjinovci's statement appears to be related to the decision of the United States of America (US) to suspend the technical dialogue with Kosovo (see here).

To prove that Merz did not make such a statement, hibrid.info also researched using the Google search engine.

The search results did not reveal any source or article that would indicate the German Chancellor's position regarding this US decision in relation to Kosovo (see here).

Analyze:

The claim that German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, through a statement, commented on the US's actions in relation to Kosovo is untrue.

The statement attributed to Merz, published by a well-known satirical publication site (Specbuk), was made by columnist Rron Gjinovci.

Upon publication of the satirical page, based on many comments, it is noted that it was perceived as true by readers.

Therefore, based on the working methodology, hibrid.info evaluates this content as "Satire".

Reasoning:

The “Satire” rating includes informative content that uses literary devices such as mockery and irony to interpret various developments that occur. This in itself does not constitute a problem as long as it is made known that the content in question is satirical or the publisher is known as a satirical publisher. The purpose of including this rating in the methodology is to show that this type of content is taken for granted in certain situations regardless of the fact that it is satirical content. So in such cases, if a text fails to clarify that it has satirical content, it can be understood as true and, consequently, can create a wrong opinion in the audience.
