"After the law on the confiscation of unjustified assets was formed, the Kosovo Government is expected to confiscate the two luxury villas of President Vjosa Osmani in Marigona Hill, which have a staggering value, and she has not declared with what businesses she managed to buy them, while the president also owns a luxury villa in Australia which is worth 500.000 euros, so the Kosovo government is investigating the staggering income of the president, who has millions of euros of undeclared capital."
This claim was published by means of an inscription, in a post published on Friday (April 3) on Facebook by the account named "Lajme Nga Bota".
The truth?
The claim is false because the Law on the State Bureau for the Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets is not yet in force and there is no real process for verifying or confiscating the assets of former President Osmani.

The account that published the claim has over 10 thousand followers. Hibrid.info has dealt with the content published by this account on several occasions (see here, here, here, here and here).
Initially, a search engine called "Google" was used to check whether this claim had been published by other sources, but the results did not show any such publication in the media or other publishers (see here).
Then, hibrid.info researched through “Google”, for the claims within this content separately. From the search for the Law on Confiscation of Assets, articles were found informing that the Government of Kosovo has proceeded in the Assembly the Draft Law on the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets, last week (see here).
In fact, a video material has been found, where Albin Kurti, the Prime Minister of Kosovo, during a speech in the Kosovo Assembly (April 2), requested the approval of this law (see here).
According to the Constitution of Kosovo, the Government is one of the institutions of the country that can take the initiative to propose laws, while the Assembly of Kosovo is the institution that approves laws. A law is considered promulgated after being signed by the president (Articles 79 and 80).
Which shows that this law is not yet in force.
In the fact-finding investigation into Vjosa Osmani's assets, articles were found indicating that in the 2025 asset declaration, Osmani had reported that he owned an apartment, a collective garage, a house in Australia, land, a residence and a residence in Australia. For all of these properties, Osmani justified the method of their acquisition in the declaration (see here and here).

Among the articles found on this issue are some that reported that the Anti-Corruption Agency (AKK) had launched investigations against Osman on January 6 of this year, following differences noted in her asset declarations for the years 2024 and 2025 (see hereOn January 12, the same institution announced that the investigations had been completed and that no discrepancies had been found in the declaration of assets of President Vjosa Osmani (see here).
Analyze:
The claim that the Kosovo Government will confiscate the properties of former President Vjosa Osmani because she has not justified their financial source is false.
The Law on the State Bureau for Verification and Confiscation of Unjustified Assets is not yet in force.
Meanwhile, Osmani's official asset declarations show that all of her declared properties have a justification for the financial source. Also, investigations by the AKK have not found any discrepancies.
