A 2013 photo of Israeli forces training is presented as current from an attack against them.

HIBRID

A Facebook account has published a photo showing several military forces on the street.

This photograph was claimed to show images from an attack on an Israeli battalion.

After fact-checking by Hibrid.info, it was verified that the image is from 2013 and depicts Israeli soldiers in a training exercise near the border with Syria in September of that year. Hibrid.info also conducted research on the content of the text from this post, but did not find any data related to the event.

Link to the post published on Facebook by the "Al-Aqsa Mosque" page:

After researching through the automated program “InVID”, hibrid.info managed to find the same image published in the foreign media “NBC News” on September 14, 2013. (see here)

The caption on the photograph published by "NBC News" in 2013, translated into Albanian:

"Israeli soldiers from the paratrooper brigade take part in a training exercise in the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights, near the border with Syria on September 9."

Analyze:

A Facebook page has published a photo from 2013 showing a battalion of Israeli forces. Through this image, the page falsely claims that the published footage is current, from an unknown attack against them.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this post as "Disinformation".

Reasoning:

A “Disinformation” rating is given to media reporting that contains a “mix” of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful content. This rating will also address reports that have incorrect attributions or headlines that do not reflect the text in terms of information accuracy.
