The photos do not show the images of the child bitten by a stray dog in Pristina

FATBARDH DEMA

Several Facebook pages on June 18 published news about a two-year-old child who had been bitten in the face by a stray dog in a Pristina square.

These pages in this announcement have published photographs of children with facial wounds, but they do not show the same child.

Based on this suspicion, hibrid.info has verified the facts and, after research conducted through online search engines, it was confirmed that the children's photographs belong to two different events in New Zealand and England.

Links to the post published on Facebook by the pages "Shneta" and "Gazeta Urbane":

After research conducted through the automated online program "InVID", hibrid.info has found that the photo of the child published on the "Shneta" page belongs to a 2019 event in New Zealand, where a dog attacked a two-year-old child in the city of Christchurch. (see here)

While the photo posted by the "Gazeta Urbane" page belongs to another incident that occurred in 2020 in Nottingham, England, when the dog attacked a two-year-old child in the face. (see here)

Based on research conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the first person to report on Facebook about the biting of a two-year-old child in Pristina Square was the chairman of the Youth Forum of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Armend Ibrahimi, who had witnessed the attack by stray dogs on a two-year-old child in "Mother Teresa" Square in Pristina. (see here)

In this announcement made by Ibrahim, no photograph of the child, or of this event, appears.

Also, the online medium Koha.net, in an article dedicated to this event, where the child's parent spoke out, does not present the photo of the child bitten by the stray dog. (see here)

So, none of the photos published by the aforementioned sites show the child who was bitten in "Mother Teresa" Square in Pristina, but old images of children who were the targets of dog attacks in England and New Zealand.
