OUR VERDICT

FAKE NEWS

After research, it was proven that this is not true. Gucci has not launched such a product on the market.

Several Albanian-language news portals have published articles claiming that the Italian fashion brand "Gucci" has launched baby diapers on the market, with a package costing $490.

Hibrid.info has found that articles with this claim were published by "vna.al","bordo.al","portalifiks.com"and "spectrum.tv".

What's wrong with this claim?

After research conducted online by hibrid.info, it was confirmed that this is not true. "Gucci" has not launched such a product on the market.

Hibrid.info initially searched for images showing baby diapers from Gucci, using the automated program InVID. The results did not show any credible foreign media or official sources reporting on this product (see here, here and here).

Based on these results, it is noted that this claim has only been circulated by various social media pages and accounts.

To further prove the fact that such a product is not manufactured by "Gucci", hibrid.info has researched the official website of this company.

In the SEARCH section, hibrid.info searched for the keywords “Baby Diapers” (as written in the image). However, the results do not show this product. (see here)

Analyze

Several Albanian-language portals have published a claim that the Italian fashion brand "Gucci" has launched baby diapers priced at around $490 per pack.

After verification by hibrid.info, it turned out that this claim is not true. There is no evidence from official sources or credible international media confirming the existence of such a product.

Research through image verification tools did not yield relevant results from reliable sources, indicating that the content was primarily circulated on social media. Similarly, a search on Gucci's official website yielded no results for baby diapers.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this claim as "Fake News".

rationale

Content that is rated as fake news can be defined as having been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
