Hibrid.info, from June 15 to 17, 2023, participated in the Point Conference, the largest in the region in the field of media and communication.
The main topics of this conference were: The means and ways in which fake news and disinformation are used to justify an invasion; new technologies and their proper use for the benefit of society; the transformation of the media; technological innovations in combating disinformation; Artificial Intelligence, problems and opportunities, as well as other topics.
At this conference, various professionals and experts from around the world, profiled in specific topics and issues, made their presentations, with whom representatives of Hibrid.info managed to discuss specific issues regarding the current situation in Kosovo and the region.
Various professionals and experts have expressed their willingness and readiness to start collaborations with Hibrid in new areas and ideas, exchanging experiences and discussing possible joint projects. It has also been discussed and debated with fact-checking experts from different countries, such as Ukraine, Georgia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, and European Union countries, as well as from the United States of America, where the general topic was the influence and distribution of Russian propaganda in all these areas and the possibilities to identify and combat them. Likewise, opportunities and contacts have been created to expand cooperation in the future for a common good against an influence of disinformation and fake news from the same source.
The POINT conference is organized by the ACTION SEE network, specifically the organizations from Bosnia and Herzegovina “Zašto Ne”.
The POINT conference is the largest conference of its kind in the region and is a platform that encourages the use of new technologies – a tool for education on the use of new technologies and social networks; a forum for the exchange of views and experiences; an incubator for the development of ideas, projects and strategies; a virtual place for networking and informing socially conscious Internet users; as well as a social network for exploring and searching for partners and collaborators and building coalitions.
