Serbian List claims without facts about media attack on Radojčić family and existence of media controlled by Kurti

FESTIM RIZANAJ

The article with misinformation from the Kurir.rs medium was corrected after being handled by hibrid.info (see the corrected article). here)

Several Serbian media outlets yesterday (September 06) published an article claiming that the children of Milan Radojčić, vice-president of the Serbian party "Srpska Lista", are being attacked by, allegedly, media outlets controlled by Albin Kurti, on the grounds that they were photographed with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić. (see here, here, here and here)

The claims of the Serbian media are based on a reaction of the political entity of the Serbian community in Kosovo, “Serbian List” (Srpska Lista), published yesterday (September 6), on their Facebook page. Through this reaction, this political entity has claimed that the children of Milan Radojčić are being targeted by, as they put it, the media controlled by Kurti, assessing this as a continuation of the persecution including innocent children. (see here)

Parts of the Serbian party "Serbian List" Facebook post translated:

The attack by the Albanian media under the control of Albin Kurti on the minor children of Milan Radoičić, the vice president of the Srpska List, is a continuation of the persecution and targeting of innocent children, which is illegal and unacceptable.

After all the lies, slander, and staged trials against our Deputy Mayor Radoićić, Pristina is now targeting minor and innocent children because they bear the last name Radoićić.

After the publication of this reaction of the Serbian List by several Serbian-language media outlets in Serbia, the Head of the Office for Kosovo in the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, also spoke out regarding this claim. In a post on his Facebook profile made yesterday (September 6), he expressed support for this claim. (see here)

In fact, the entire claim of the Serbian List about, as they have alluded, the targeting of the media "controlled by Albin Kurti" against the children of Milan Radojčić, is not accompanied by any supporting facts. So, in their official reaction, published through the Facebook page, no facts are provided that such an attack is being intended, alleged by the Serbian party, and no details are provided about what is alluded to.

The post does not provide details about the media outlets that the Serbian party alludes to as targeting Milan Radojčić's family.

In addition, another unfounded claim is made, such as the one about the closeness of some media outlets to Prime Minister Kurti, called “media controlled by Kurti”. But, in fact, even for this claim, this political entity does not provide any credible data that would argue the closeness of any Kosovar media outlet to the political figure of Kurti.

Analyze:

Serbian media close to the government there (see here) have published unfounded claims that Albin Kurti's media have targeted the family of the deputy leader of the Serbian party "Srpska Lista" Milan Radojčić, interpreting it as a continuation of the persecution of Serbs. The claims are based on a post by the political entity "Srpska Lista" which makes these claims without providing details or facts about it.

While even regarding the claim of the existence of "media controlled by Kurti", this Serbian political entity does not provide any credible evidence or document that would serve to prove such a thing.

Hibrid.info, based on fact-checking, assesses that these claims are unfounded, based on the fact that they do not provide facts about it, and are assessed as "Unverified".

Reasoning:

The “Unverified” rating is given to those media reports that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which have not been able to confirm the same due to the lack or non-possession of reliable sources.
