A message has been found claiming that the person who accepted it has won a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan car, for which they are required to register by entering their details via a link within 24 hours.
The author of this message is a Facebook page named "Mega Mall".
What is the truth of this content?
Hibrid.info has found that the message is a hoax.
Hibrid.info initially researched this page. A post was found on the page stating "Thank you very much for your participation! Don't forget to comment directly on the autowelt page @highlight until it turns blue." (see here).
The post received 810 comments, including the page's responses to each comment. Based on the page's responses to the comments, it is noted that commenters were asked to check the messages.
The message they appear to have received is one that claims that the commenter on this post has won a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan. The message also contains a link asking for registration details within 24 hours.
Hibrid.info has clicked the ovary. After clicking, it is seen that the URL of the page is mega-mall877.myfreesites.net. Which indicates that in this case a free domain (“myfreesites.net”) was used.
The page also requires the visitor to enter personal information and a credit card number, with the excuse that it is "for verification only."
Another fact that is seen is a real photo of a shopping center. Hibrid.info, using the automated search program “InVID”, found that the shopping center named “Mega Mall", which is seen in this image, is in Bucharest, Romania (see here).
All these elements encountered on the open page of this link have made it reasonable to further verify it through the "ScamAdviser" platform, to assess its reliability.
The results from the evaluation of this platform have shown a low level of trustworthiness, also highlighting that it may be a scam (see here).
About the “Mega Mall” website with content in Albanian
The page was launched on August 5, 2025, has over 6 thousand likes and over 7 thousand followers (here). In the “About” section, this page has no address or contact information.
Hibrid.info also addressed a similar scam on August 27th from a site called "Autowelt", whose name was mentioned in the post on the "Mega Mall" site.
This fact, and the similarity of the publication frauds of both sites, indicates that these publishers may be connected to each other.
Analyze:
The claim that you can win a 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan by commenting on a post on a dubious page is a scam.
The page that distributed the message used a free domain, has no verified contact, requests personal and credit card information under the pretext of "verification", and is linked to previous cases of fraud.
Therefore, based on the working methodology, hibrid.info assesses the content as "Fraud".
