An image has been published that claims to show the moment of a meeting between former President Vjosa Osmani and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, a meeting organized by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.

The content with this claim was published on Monday (May 11) on Facebook, by an account named "Avni Ukshini” and on Tuesday (May 12) from the account “World News" and the page "Authchthonous".

What is the truth?

The image through which the claim was published shows the moment of the meeting of the leaders of the region's states with former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, within the framework of the Summit of Heads of State of Southeast Europe (SEECP).

As of the time of writing, the content has a total of over 1 likes, over 500 shares, and over 200 comments. Based on the content of most of the comments, it can be assessed that the audience is likely to perceive the claim as credible.


Hibrid.info researched using “InVID”, the automated search program, and found several articles indicating when this image was taken (see here).

The contents show that the image was taken during a working dinner in 2022, within the framework of the Summit of Heads of State of South-Eastern Europe (SEECP). The photo shows former German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in the center of the table, next to Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani, while Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama is next to Osmani. Opposite them are the then Prime Minister of North Macedonia Dimitar Kovačevski, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and the then President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović (see here and here).

The articles indicate that this photo was published by Prime Minister Rama. Hibrid.info checked Rama's Facebook account and found the image in question (see here).
