Several Albanian-language portals today (July 13) reported that two victims have been recorded as a result of water poisoning in the Deçan region.
Some of these portals based the article on the confirmation of the spokesperson for the Peja Prosecution, Shkodran Nikçi, misquoting him, since he did not say that these deaths were the result of poisoning, but that they were considered suspicious deaths.
"During the last 24 hours, two suspicious deaths have occurred in the municipality of Deçan. Due to the situation created in that region, the acting Prosecutor of the Serious Crimes Department has ordered that the bodies be sent for autopsy to the IML to understand more about the circumstances of their deaths.", Nikçi said about the Clan.

However, the Minister of Health in Kosovo, Arben Vitia, has announced that the two deaths recorded in the last few hours are not related to the poisonings in Deçan.
"The first reports we received on Sunday were worrying. With no fatalities so far, the two deaths you are referring to are unrelated to the cases we are talking about," Vitia said, among other things, at a press conference.
