An account named "Political Comments" on Facebook published an image yesterday (April 4) in the public group "Diaspora with PDK".

The image shows Kosovo's Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, with the caption on the image claiming that the latter has stated "It is normal for 50% of citizens who did not vote for us to leave Kosovo.".

But, after research by hibrid.info, the alleged statement was not found published in any credible media.

The public group "Diaspora with PDK" has 4,600 followers (see here).

Hibrid.info has researched the claim in question using search engines and the only facts shown about Bislim's statements about citizens fleeing the country are the articles that informed about his reporting to the Integration Commission, where the departure of people from the country is considered "something normal" by the Deputy Prime Minister (see here and here).

Statement by Deputy Prime Minister Besnik Bislimi:

"In Kosovo, in the Western Balkans or in Eastern Europe, there has been a continuous tendency for migration. Some half a million doctors who operate in the European Union are not affiliated with the European Union. That is to say, migration is something normal, it is part of the tendencies of individuals and families to improve living standards."

Analyze:

The alleged statement of the Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, that "It is normal for 50% of citizens who did not vote for us to leave Kosovo.", it's not true.

After verifying the facts by hibrid.info, it was found that Bislimi, through a statement, assessed the departure of people from the country as something normal, in general.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses the content as "Disinformation".

Rating:

"Disinformation" is defined as information content that contains a "mix" of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful attributes, and that is created and/or distributed with the deliberate intention of causing harm.
