Last night, various Albanian-language media outlets published articles with almost identical content, titled, "The 23-year-old woman who was hit by a policeman on a zebra crossing in Peja dies, this is the identity of the perpetrator".
Content with this claim was found published on April 1 in media outlets such as: "botasot.info","balkani.info”And“official.net".
How true is the claim?
A serious traffic accident occurred yesterday in the village of Qyshk in Peja, where a pedestrian was hit by a car. However, contrary to yesterday's reports that the victim had died, Hibrid.info has found that her condition continues to be serious.
For this claim, within the articles it can be seen that these media outlets referred to media outlets such as "paparaci.com" and "insajderi.org".
From the search results with the keywords “23-year-old-woman-killed-by-a-policeman-on-zebra-crossing-die-identity-of-perpetrator-and-victim-is-known” in the “Google” search engine, it appears that this article was also published on the Facebook page of the Albanian-language online media “paparaci.com”, but that the same post does not open after clicking the link, meaning it has been deleted in the meantime (see here).
Even the link to the article published on "insajderi.org" no longer displays the article (see here).
Meanwhile, Hibrid.info has found reports from other media which, citing official sources from the Prosecution and the UCCK, have indicated that the accident victim did not die, although she is in serious health condition (see here and here).
