Unfounded claims about the so-called “Yellow House” are being republished in Serbian-language media

FESTIM RIZANAJ

Several Serbian-language media outlets published an article yesterday and today (March 08th and 09th) reporting on the visit of Serbian Orthodox priest Dimitrije Marković to the so-called “Yellow House” in Albania. These media outlets, describing the position of priest Marković, have reported on his unfounded claims of organ transplantation of Serbian citizens during the war in Kosovo.

These media outlets refer to the article and videos published by priest Marković on the website "teodulija.net" after visiting the location of the house that is alleged to have been used for the removal of organs from Kosovo Serbs.

Markovic, during a visit to the site of the house and the village cemetery, claims that the bodies of Serbs whose organs were removed are still there. He also claims that he has looked for any bones from these bodies to take with him for testing, but has not found any.

The Serbian Orthodox priest, in the published article, mainly referred to Dick Marty's report.

However, the fact that the "Yellow House" existed and that organ trafficking operations were carried out has never been proven.

Parts of the article published by Serbian-language media:

In the "yellow house" in Albania, where the organs of Serbs kidnapped in Kosovo were removed in the late nineties, there was a room that was equipped as a private clinic.

Another important thing to note about the village cemetery is that, in my opinion, the bodies are still there.

In addition, I was looking to see if there were any bones to look at somewhere that I could take for DNA analysis.

Priest Marković, through the visit he made, claims without evidence that in the location where the so-called "yellow house" is located, there are traces of what is alleged to be organ trafficking.

Investigations conducted at the so-called "yellow house" in a village near Burrel in Northern Albania have failed to substantiate claims that human organs were removed for commercial purposes in this house.

A March 2004 report compiled by five international experts from the Hague Tribunal and the United Nations states that based on our examinations, there is no convincing evidence that blood was shed in this house as a result of criminal acts. (here)

The “Yellow House” was first mentioned in the book by former International Court of Justice prosecutor Carla del Ponte, “The Hunt: Me and the War Criminals ", and then in report of the representative of Switzerland, Dick Marty, to whom priest Marković mainly refers.

We recall that precisely "The Specialist Court in The Hague, also known as the "Specialised Chambers"" was created with the claims of Dick Marty's report on the "Yellow House". (here) However, these claims were never proven, and there is no element of organ trafficking in the indictments. (here)

The lack of evidence was also confirmed by the head of the EULEX Investigative Task Force, Clint Williamson, who said that such a claim has never been proven. (here)

Also, the veracity of Dick Marty's report is being contested by a resolution of the Socialist Party of Albania of Prime Minister Edi Rama, in July 2022 (here), to send to the Council of Europe (CoE). Meanwhile, regarding this initiative, Prime Minister Rama recently declared that signatures have been collected to be submitted for consideration to the General Assembly of the CoE (here).

Analyze:

The fact that the "Yellow House" existed and that organ trafficking operations were carried out has never been proven.

The claims of priest Marković about the existence of traces of the alleged trafficking of organs of Kosovo Serbs are not substantiated.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info qualifies this claim as "misinformation".
