The portal "Jepize.com" published a post on its official Facebook page yesterday (December 27) claiming that the north of Mitrovica remains without electricity.
After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the information provided by this portal is outdated.
Hibrid.info, after research conducted through the social media Facebook, has confirmed that this portal also posted the same news, with the same illustrative photo, on December 29, 2021. So, it tried to present this old news as current.
"Jepi Vje"'s post on Facebook:
Rare: North Mitrovica without electricity
***
The reductions that began last week are still continuing throughout the territory of Kosovo.
In fact, tonight there was no electricity even in the part where it almost never stopped, writes "Jepi zje".
As you can see, the north of Mitrovica has remained in darkness during the evening hours today.
Citizens have often complained that the northern part of Kosovo did not have power cuts, while electricity was cut off throughout the country.

The same post was also made on December 29, 2021. (see here)

This post made yesterday (December 27) by "Jepi zë", was also published by another information portal "Fokusi.info", which, by citing this portal, seems to have inadvertently published this old news as current. (see here)
However, it is not known with certainty whether there have been any power cuts in northern Mitrovica.
Hibrid.info has not been able to confirm this since the Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS), on its online platform, does not announce any connection to the electricity outage as a result of network works in the northern part of Mitrovica (see here), this is because the other company "Elektrosever" is responsible for distributing electricity in that area.
This company has a connection agreement with KEDS and a commercial agreement with KEDS for the provision of distribution services (billing, collection, maintenance and physical connection of new customers) in the four northern municipalities with a Serb majority according to paragraph 1 of Article 5 of the 2013 Agreement. (see here and here)
However, hibrid.info has not been able to find any information or data from the company "Elektrosever" and, consequently, no electricity reduction plan for the part where it operates (northern Kosovo) since, according to the search results, it is noted that it does not yet have an online platform. (see here)

Despite the lack of information about reductions in the northern part of Kosovo, what is clearly visible in the “Jepize.com” article is that the content is old and has been republished in its entirety. This makes it clear that this information is not accurate.
