In a significant event, the trainings on countering misinformation are also being expanded to the cities of Peja and Gjakova, bringing in-depth knowledge and practices to counter disinformation in all its forms. To explain to participants the techniques of fact-checking photos and videos, as well as identifying photos generated with artificial intelligence, the trainers focused on concrete examples and interactive discussions. The discussions expanded on disinformation, fake news, manipulation of facts, deception, errors, and conspiracy theories, providing participants with a deep understanding of the flow of false information and how to address them in order to build a more informed and equipped society to stand on the side of truth.
The information sessions within the framework of the project "Countering Disinformation Narratives through Innovation and Experiential Learning," supported by the US Embassy, aim to take a step towards raising awareness and improving skills to face the information challenges of our time.
