An article titled " was publishedTwo hours into the meeting, Osman and Kurti are joined by the American ambassador.".
Ky news was published today (July 2) by the online medium "indeksonline.net".
What is the truth?
Hibrid.info has found that the chargé d'affaires of the United States (US) embassy in Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, went to the Presidency for a meeting with President Vjosa Osmani, without the presence of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti.

The information claimed in the title of the article published by IndeksOnline is also presented in the content, when it is stated that: "The acting US ambassador to Kosovo, Anu Prattipati, has also joined the meeting at this time. Meanwhile, inAt the beginning of the text it says: "The closed-door meeting between President Osmani and the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, has been going on for two hours.
The article even claims that this medium also captured the moment when Prattipati hurriedly went to the presidency to take part in the discussions between the two state leaders, presented with a video 9 seconds published on the official Facebook page.
However, after researching online sources of information and the actors participating in this meeting, from the announcements of the acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, and the Presidency institution, there is no confirmation that Prattipati was present during the Kurti–Osmani meeting (see here and here).
Hibrid.info has also found a report from the medium "Gazeta Express", which states that President Osmani met with the chargé d'affaires at the American embassy, but after the meeting she had with Kurti. It is also said that the meeting in question had nothing to do with the meetings of party leaders that the first of the country has planned to hold today (see here).
Analyze:
The claim that the chargé d'affaires at the US embassy in Pristina joined President Osmani and acting Prime Minister Kurti in a meeting is not accurate.
Anu Prattipati had a special meeting only with President Osmani, but not with both leaders.
Therefore, based on the working methodology, hibrid.info assesses the article with this claim as "Unverified Content".
Reasoning:
The "Unverified" rating is given to those informative contents that do not provide sufficient information to confirm the claims made in the report, and which could not be verified due to certain circumstances (speed, lack of sources) during the publication of the content.
