OUR VERDICT

MANIPULATION OF FACTS

Hibrid.info found that the video in question does not show footage from Kosovo.

A video has been released showing a truck hitting a pothole while driving on a flooded road.

The inscription of videos published on Saturday (September 5) on TikTok by the account named "infopointstar", claims to show the condition of the roads in Kosovo.

What is the truth?

Hibrid.info found that the video in question does not show footage from Kosovo.

As of publication, the content in question has received over 25 thousand views.

Hibrid.info has researched through the automated search program “InVID”. Through “Google Lens” an article was found that had as its main image, a scene from this video (see here).

After checking the text that was published, it was found that it was about an event that had occurred in Indonesia, the video of which was shot in August 2023.

The content indicated that the video was first published on the social network "Instagram" (see here).

The research requested through this program has not revealed any articles published in Albanian-language media that could confirm the claim in question.

An attempt was also made to accurately locate the location where these images were recorded through geographical verification methods, but this was impossible because the images are not at all clear.

The low quality of the video, the darkness of the night, and the bright light scattered across the ceiling of the gas station make any text, logo, or vehicle license plate completely illegible.

Furthermore, there is a lack of unique points of reference in the video.

Analyze:

The video showing a truck hitting a pothole on a flooded road and claiming to show the condition of roads in Kosovo is false.

Through verification tools such as "InVID" and "Google Lens", it was confirmed that the footage does not belong to Kosovo, but is about an event that occurred in Indonesia in August 2023.

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Manipulation of facts".
