Two TikTok videos on Thursday (July 16) claimed that United States President Donald Trump had threatened Serbia with bombing or declared war on it over Kosovo.
The videos feature the Daily Mail logo and the captions are in English. In one video, Trump is shown speaking from the White House, and in the other, from a rally.
What do the materials contain?
"Mr. Vucic, don't touch Kosovo. I'm warning you. You must leave Kosovo alone. If you attack Kosovo, we will bomb Belgrade like we did in 1999," Trump is heard saying in English in the published video from the account "aqif_zefmllari", but that he uses "Daily Mail" as his profile name. In the video description it is written "Donald Trump warns Serbia that if it touches Kosovo it will be bombed like in 1999This description is placed under the logo of the British media outlet "Daily Mail"
On the same account, a few hours later, a next video with the claim that Trump has declared war on Serbia. "In two days, since it's July 16th, July 18th, we will bomb Belgrade and show the world who America is...", Trump is heard saying from a rally.
What's wrong with them?
Hibrid.info's findings have shown that Trump has not made such a statement and that the allegations have not been published by the "Daily Mail".
What's more, it turns out that the audio was generated with artificial intelligence.
A Google search with the titles used in the video captions does not lead to credible articles with such claims (see here and here).
Hibrid.info also searched the “Daily Mail” website with the words “Kosovo” and “Serbia” and did not find any content such as the TikTok claim. Even a search in Albanian with the words “Trump threatens Serbia over Kosovo" in the last week does not lead to credible articles with this claim.
Using Google Lens from the first video, Hibrid.info found sequences of Trump's original statement from the White House. There he spoke about the issue of reimbursement for securing the passage of ships in the Strait of Hormuz. The video was published two days ago by the Daily Mail on Facebook with the title "Trump aims for reimbursement for protecting the Strait of Hormuz" (see here). The same video was also published by "economictimes". There he does not talk about Kosovo or Serbia.
A deeper search through the photo and details (Trump's red tie, the blue tie of the person behind him) led to the full video of a statement by Trump from the White House. It turns out that the content published on TikTok is an excerpt from Trump's full speech from July 13, 2026, when he signed an executive order on National Monuments. The full transcript of Trump's statement proves that he did not mention Kosovo and Serbia (see here).
The second video has the logo in the middle and most of Trump's face is covered. However, Trump is heard saying that today is July 16th - thus claiming that he gave the speech on Thursday. However, according to Trump's schedule, there was no speech to the crowd on that day (see here).
Based on the first video, movements are seen that are not in sync with the sound. The movements often do not exactly match the sounds that are heard. This is mainly observed in letters that require complete lip closure to be expressed. Such a discrepancy raises doubts about the authenticity of the audio.

The first video, the one of the speech from the White House, has so far received around 1.1 million views on this account alone (see here).
The same content has also been republished by other TikTok accounts with added edits (see here and here), but also on Facebook (see here). It has also received around 900 thousand views on these three links.
The second video of the account "aqif_zefmllari", from the speech to the crowd, has received more than 600 thousand views (see here).
This account, in continuation of these claims, has also published other videos claiming that Trump is warning Serbia about Kosovo. In one case, it falsely used the BBC logo with the claim that “Trump is warning Serbia about false accusations in documents related to Kosovo” (see here). But, this claim cannot be found on the website either. BBCneither in "Google".
Analyze:
