The image does not depict one of the attackers killed in northern Kosovo, but a Russian soldier killed in Ukraine.

Several Facebook pages have published today (September 24) a photo showing the lifeless body of a soldier, bearing the caption "Exclusive photo: Another Serbian terrorist killed in the north, their two bodies found."

After fact-checking conducted by hibrid.info, it has been confirmed that the image does not depict the lifeless body of any of the attackers who attacked Kosovo Police (KP) officers in the north of the country today (September 24), resulting in the death of one KP member and the injury of two others.

The photo in question was found and published in March 2022 and belongs to a Russian soldier, during Russia's aggression in Ukraine.

In the photograph published in the CNN article dated March 23, 2022, it is clearly seen that it bears the inscription “The body of a Russian soldier lying on a street in Sytniaky, Ukraine, on March 5.” (see photo below)
