Through the title of a video published on YouTube, it is claimed that Turkey has told Serbia that it will not arm Kosovo's enemies.

"Turkey hits Serbia: We do not arm Kosovo's enemies", is the title of the video published on the "Euronews Albania" channel on YouTube on October 10, the day when Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited Albania.

What's wrong with this title?

Turkey has not issued such a statement. Such a thing is not said in the video in question either. The only point that can be related to this title is the sentence taken from the quote of Serbian military analyst Vlade Radulović given for "nova.rs" "Certain targets in Pristina have been claiming for years that nothing will come of it and that they have received promises from Ankara that those planes will not be handed over to Serbia, because as they say, Turkey cannot arm the enemies of Kosovo."

So this shows that such a position was not stated by official Turkey, as claimed in the title.

For more, hibrid.info has searched the online search engine "google.com" with the keywords "Turkey does not arm Kosovo's enemies". The search has not led to any credible publication with such information.

The released video reported on discussions about what would be discussed at the meeting between Turkish President Erdogan and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, following Erdogan's visit to Albania. During his stay in Serbia on Friday (September 11), Erdogan said that they would jointly develop the defense industry with Serbia (source) Radio Free Europe).

Analyze:

The title of "Turkey Strikes Serbia: We Do Not Arm Kosovo's Enemies" in a video published by "Euronews Albania" does not match its content.

While the title claims that such a statement was made by Turkey, the content indicates that it is a statement by Serbian military analyst Vlade Radulović who cited "certain targets in Pristina".

Based on its work methodology, hibrid.info assesses this title as "Disinformation" and "Clickbait".

Reasoning:

"Disinformation" is defined as information content that contains a "mix" of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful attributes, and that is created and/or distributed with the deliberate intention of causing harm. The motive behind the producers/distributors of disinformation content lies in achieving a political, financial, psychological or social goal.

“Clickbait” is considered to be informational content whose title is general and does not disclose the location of the event, context and relevance. Such texts and articles aim to attract the attention of the audience with sensational headlines with misleading consequences, which do not accurately clarify the content of the article. “Clickbait” headlines are mainly made to attract readability in the case of media publications and/or to earn from clicks in the case of commercial publications.
