It is alleged that the new Kosovo Police substation in Soçanica, Leposavic, will be staffed only with ethnic Albanian police officers.
The claim was raised by the Serbian political entity in Kosovo, "Serbian List", through an announcement published (August 2) on its official Facebook page.
However, hibrid.info has addressed the claim because in the statement of this entity, the concern raised is not based on concrete facts and data.
Link to the statement published on Facebook by "Lista Srpbe":

Four Serbian-language media outlets have also reported on the reaction of the "Serbian List", which have published news based on this statement on their portals (see here, here, here and here).
"Serbian List" statement translated into Albanian
"Unable to open factories, highways, innovation centers or modern clinical-hospital centers for the citizens who voted for him, Kurti is opening another illegal police base where Albanians will work, in the pure Serbian Soçanica in the municipality of Leposavic."
The Brussels Agreement, and even the constitution adopted by the Albanians, clearly states that in all municipalities, even those with a Serb majority, the composition of police units must reflect the ethnic composition of the population of that municipality. Kurti, who likes to call himself a respecter of the rule of law, and his subordinate Sveçla, today opened another illegal base in a completely Serbian environment in the north of Kosovo and Metohija.
This illegal act aims to continue to inflame tensions in northern Kosovo and Metohija and is another provocation aimed at creating unbearable conditions for Serbs, because this is the only thing Kurti offers the Albanian public in this area.
That populism goes so far that every day we have a kind of provocation in the organization of Kurti's party. The goal is to open a bridge illegally and without the consent of the Serbian people, even in conflict with the internationals, to the point of forcing its activists and publicly financing them to visit northern Kosovo and Metohija, Lake Gazivoda or northern Mitrovica.
All his promises for a better life remain on paper, and elections are coming, so Kurti is trying to bring unrest instead of peace, intolerance instead of coexistence and instead of work, and a better life offers citizens an unprecedented, pathological hatred of everything that is Serbian. However, we believe that our Albanian neighbors see this much better than we do and that every day they are clear that from the abolition of the dinar, the closure of Serbian banks, the groundless arrests of respected and honest Serbs, their lives are not and will not be better.”
Hibrid.info has researched the claim. After research, no data was found on the ethnicity of the police officers employed at this substation, but, hibrid.info, through search engines, found an article reporting on the opening of this substation, in the presence of the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti.
Based on the statement of Prime Minister Kurti published in this article “The police here will be multiethnic” (see here).
Quotes from Prime Minister Albin Kurti taken from the article:
"The police here will be multiethnic and will serve citizens regardless of ethnicity, color, age, gender or religion. I thank the Minister, the Mayor and the Police Director, as well as the economic operator, the contractor who has completed this repair, renovation or more accurately, reconstruction ahead of schedule with a total investment of 46,400 euros."
"Today is a good day for the citizens and the Kosovo Police, for security and peace. In the morning, 448 cadets joined our Police, and now here at noon we are inaugurating this police substation, which is a contribution of the state to the citizen through the rule of law and peace and security for all."
Analyze:
"Serbian List" claims that the new Kosovo Police substation in Soçanica, Leposavic, will be staffed only by Albanian police officers.
But Prime Minister Albin Kurti's statement refutes this claim.
Therefore, based on the working methodology, hibrid.info assesses the claim as "Disinformation" and "Conspiracy Theory".
Reasoning:
"Disinformation" is defined as information content that contains a "mix" of inaccurate sources or even half-truthful attributes, and that is created and/or distributed with the deliberate intention of causing harm. The motive behind the producers/distributors of disinformation content lies in achieving a political, financial, psychological or social goal.
