An image is published with the caption "The MP who wrote Fatos Geci's speech is revealed, he is Ilir Kërçeli".
This image was published on Thursday (April 23) on Facebook by the page named "Kosovo Newspaper+", while this inscription was published as an article on the page "Region02".
What's wrong with the content?
She presents as a confirmed fact a claim that comes from a personal statement by Nehat Geci.

Page "Kosovo Newspaper+" has over 12 thousand followers, while "Region02" has over 34 thousand followers.
Hibrid.info checked the article by "Rajoni02". From the content it is clear that we are dealing with a claim, which is based on a post published on Facebook by an account named "Nehat Geci".
The post states that a speech given by MP "Fatos Geci" was written by Ilir Kërçeli, another MP from the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV).
The post also contains the image of MP Kërçeli.

The article in its entirety:
"Nehat Geci has made a public statement through a post on the social network Facebook, where he raised allegations regarding a speech given in the Parliament.
According to him, during a telephone conversation with Fatos Geci, the latter told him that the speech he gave in the Assembly was not drafted by him.
"During a phone conversation with Fatos, he personally told me that the speech he gave in the Assembly was written by VV MP Ilir Kërçeli, whom I actually don't know at all," Geci wrote.
He added that at the time of this conversation he was in a cafe in Skenderaj, together with his two grandsons, Arton and Festim, who according to him are witnesses to this conversation.
"This is the truth of this story. Even Artoni and Festimi understood this conversation," his post further states.
After this, Geci emphasizes that he did a brief research to learn more about the MP in question and that he also found a photograph of him.
Hibrid.info has researched more about this issue using Google, searching for the words "nehat geci" (see here). The results have shown credible media articles, which explain that Nehat Geci, who is the uncle of MP Fatos Geci, in his publication, referred to a speech by MP Geci in the Parliament, where he, in the extraordinary session of the Parliament on 21.04.2026, after welcoming the sentence against Naim Murseli to life imprisonment, said that he wishes the same fate for former President Hashim Thaçi, who is being tried in the Special Court for war crimes and crimes against humanity (see here, here and here).
However, the results of this research have also revealed other media articles, which reported statements by MPs Fatos Geci and Ilir Kërçeli, who denied this claim (see here and here).
Hibrid.info has checked the Facebook accounts of both deputies. A message was found on Geci's account. professional status where he took responsibility for writing his speech in the assembly, while MP Kërçeli, through a Video material has denied the claim, stating that it congratulates the release of the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), who are being tried in The Hague.
This means that the content addressed is based solely on Nehat Geci's personal statement on Facebook, without confirmation from the parties mentioned (Fatos Geci and Ilir Kërçeli).
Analyze:
The claim in the title "The MP who wrote Fatos Geci's speech is revealed, he is Ilir Kërçeli., cannot be taken as a confirmed fact.
In public statements, MPs Fatos Geci and Ilir Kërçeli have denied this claim.
While the title presents this as a fait accompli, the content makes it clear that we are only dealing with a claim made by Nehat Geci through a Facebook post, which refers to a private conversation with Fatos Geci.
Therefore, based on the working methodology, hibrid.info assesses this content as "Biased Reporting".
Reasoning:
"Biased reporting" is assessed as information content that clearly favors facts, positions and conclusions that align with a particular narrative, often disregarding the rule of contact with the other party when it comes to claims that are harmful to someone's reputation or portrayed by certain actors with a negative approach. One form of biased reporting is the selective presentation of facts, where facts that support a particular thesis are emphasized, while facts that do not confirm it are neglected.
