Vučić has not stated that "the destabilization of the Balkans enables the takeover of Kosovo"

HIBRID

The dubious portal with content in Albanian, "Timenews24hr.com", has published an article titled "Alkesander Vucic: Let destabilization happen in the Balkans, because that's how we get Kosovo".

Hibrid.info has verified the facts in this article and, after research conducted through search engines, has confirmed that this article is completely false, as it has not been found published in any credible media.

So, this article is completely fabricated as the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has not yet issued any official announcement regarding the position of the Serbian state on the Ukraine-Russia crisis.

This fake article was shared by several Facebook pages such as "Specialja", "Shqipet" and "Kronika Sot", the links to which can be found here, here and here.

After researching through search engines, hibrid.info managed to find the article published on February 23 by the Serbian media Tanjug.rs, with the statement of Serbian President Vučić, who said that Serbia will provide a response to the crisis in Ukraine within 48 hours (here), which refutes the claim made in the article published by these dubious portals.

"Last night I spoke with the Prime Minister, who is in caretaker duty, but in order not to seek excuses on the technical issues and problems we are facing now, we will come up with a full response to that crisis within the next 48 hours.", Vucic told reporters in Madrid, commenting on the EU's call for Serbia to join the bloc's sanctions against Russia.

According to Belgrade media, the new session of the National Security Council in Serbia is scheduled for today (Friday) at 16:00, while the speech of the Serbian president is at 18:00, where the political stance towards the Ukraine-Russia tensions is expected to be made clear, writes Danas.rs. Analyze:

The dubious portal with content in the Albanian language "Timenews24hr.com" has published a fake article with a fabricated title, claiming that Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has allegedly declared: "Let destabilization happen in the Balkans, because that's how we get Kosovo."

From the research conducted through search engines, hibrid.info has not found this article published in any credible online media. Also, the media in Serbia have announced that the Serbian president will give a speech today (Friday) regarding his country's political stance on the Ukraine-Russia tensions.

So, there is still no official statement from Vučić regarding Serbia's stance on the Ukraine-Russia crisis, as falsely claimed in the article published on "Timenews24hr.com". Based on the working methodology, hibrid.info has assessed this article as "Fake News".

The "Fake News" rating is given to media reports that are entirely the product of a medium that itself contains factually incorrect claims or information.

Content that is considered fake news can be reliably determined to have been created and distributed with the intent to misinform the public, i.e., to present a claim that is completely false as fact.
