OUR VERDICT

MANIPULATION OF FACTS

The video does not show migrants who came for the June 7 elections. The video was made before the December 28 elections.

Through a video published on social media, it has been claimed that the diaspora is coming for the June 7 parliamentary elections.

The video shows several citizens with banners and t-shirts in support of Vetëvendosje. "A group of expatriates from Switzerland arrive at Pristina airport for the June 7th elections," is the caption that has circulated on the video that has been published on various accounts on Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube for two days.

The truth?

The claim that this video depicts migrants supporting the Vetëvendosje Movement coming to Kosovo to vote in the June 7 elections is untrue. The real video was released in December 2025, on the eve of the December 28 parliamentary elections.

How was this proven?

Suspicions arose after citizens' banners in the videos of "Kosovo Field – Hallakamë" on Facebook, "cari1._fat","podujeva072” on TikTok and “The Arbëro Melody” on YouTube, the slogans “Don't give up!” and “Security and prosperity” appear. There is also the number 116, with which the Vetëvendosje Movement (LVV) competed in the December 28 elections. And the number is the same in these elections. But now LVV is competing with the slogans “All for the state, the state for all” and “Shooting the point”.

In the video, in some sequences, the "Flash News" logo and icons appear, indicating that it was taken from TikTok. Hibrid.info has verified this account and found it. video published on this account since December 25, 2025.

To find the video on official channels, hibrid.info verified it through “Google Lens.” Taking a screenshot of the video recently published on social media, content published as early as December 25 from the official website of Dare Party with which Vetëvendosje was and is in coalition.

Citizens wishing to vote from abroad had the option of registering to vote at a diplomatic mission or by mail. According to the Central Election Commission, there were around 140 requests for voter registration from the diaspora in these two ways.

Citizens from the diaspora who are in Kosovo on election day can vote at polling stations in Kosovo (see here).

Analyze

The claim that a video posted on social media depicts migrants who have come to Kosovo to vote in the June 7 elections is false.

Verification shows that the footage was originally published on December 25, 2025, before the December 28 parliamentary elections.

This is evidenced by the slogans and electoral number 116 used at the time by the Vetëvendosje Movement, as well as previous publications on TikTok and on the official website of the Guxo Party.

Based on these facts, based on the work methodology, hibrid.info qualifies the publications as "Manipulation of facts".
